Grade 6 into Year 7 is a very exciting time for students and their families. At 51³Ô¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ, we follow the Department of Education and Training state-wide transition program. 

Most of the early transition for Year 6 to 7 is handled by your primary school.  Your primary school will distribute forms to families in early Term 2. This important documentation is where parents will select their secondary school of choice.

We encourage families to discuss any queries they may have with the transition process with their Grade 6 teacher or primary school transition co-ordinator.

The College holds an Open Night late Term 1, Specialist Program information evening in term 2 and numerous College tours throughout the year (conducted by our Principal and Transition teams), we hope families will be as informed as possible about our college and what we can offer for every student. Information regarding the booking of these can be found on the homepage of this website.

We encourage families to attend our college tours to see how our college operates on a normal school day.  We also encourage families to bring along their children so they can see what school life is like at 51³Ô¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Specialist program application for year 7 in 2025 will not open until midterm three and will only be accessible to students who have been accepted into the College as a student for 2025. Families will find out through their primary school what secondary school they have been allocated in term 3.
